DSLA: Dynamic smooth label assignment for efficient anchor-free object detection

چکیده

Anchor-free detectors basically formulate object detection as dense classification and regression. For popular anchor-free detectors, it is common to introduce an individual prediction branch estimate the quality of localization. The following inconsistencies are observed when we delve into practices estimation. Firstly, for some adjacent samples which assigned completely different labels, trained model would produce similar scores. This violates training objective leads performance degradation. Secondly, found that detected bounding boxes with higher confidences contrarily have smaller overlaps corresponding ground-truth. Accurately localized be suppressed by less accurate ones in Non-Maximum Suppression (NMS) procedure. To address inconsistency problems, Dynamic Smooth Label Assignment (DSLA) method proposed. Based on concept centerness originally developed FCOS, a smooth assignment strategy label smoothed continuous value [0,1] make steady transition between positive negative samples. Intersection-of-Union (IoU) predicted dynamically during coupled label. dynamic supervise branch. Under such supervision, estimation naturally merged branch, simplifies architecture detector. Comprehensive experiments conducted MS COCO benchmark. It demonstrated that, DSLA can significantly boost accuracy alleviating above detectors. A label-free electrochemical nucleic acid aptasensor for the detection of methamphetamine (MA) by the immobilization of thiolated self-assembled DNA sequences on a gold nanoparticles-chitosan modified electrode is constructed. When MA was complexed specifically to the aptamer, the configuration of the nucleic acid aptamer switched to a locked structure and the interface of the biosensor changed...

Biopatterning for label-free detection.

We present a biopatterning technique suitable for applications which demand a high degree of surface cleanliness, such as immobilization of biological recognition elements onto label-free biosensors. In the case of label-free biosensing, the mechanism of signal transduction is based on surface bound matter, making them highly sensitive to surface contamination including residues left during the...

A Randomized Algorithm for Label Assignment in Dynamic Networks

A basic problem in distributed computing has to do with assigning unique labels – that is,names or addresses – to network elements. Some approaches to solving this problem includeusing static assignment (e.g., MAC addresses), or using a centralized authority (e.g., DHCP).In this paper, we present an approach that is suitable for dynamic environments: where therules constraining ...
